Chicken & Waffle Sliders

The recipe I am about to share with you will blow your mind. Whether you can cook or not cook, this is the perfect item for you to make that will be a huge party hit. It is only three ingredients and the most prep work you have to do is drive somewhere in your car and use a toaster oven. Say what?

  • Chick-Fil-A Chicken Nuggets
  • Eggo Waffle Minis
  • Syrup

Call your local Chick-Fil-A and order a small party platter or pick up a few orders of chicken nuggets depending on how many you need to make. Toast waffles, place chicken on top, pierce together with a toothpick, and display with bottle of syrup so guests can top themselves. Yep, this is not a joke, it is that easy!

I love to serve these at parties because it is one dish that takes hardly any prep work. I typically heat the chicken nuggets in the oven for a few minutes right before serving. However, they are just good at room temperature.

DIY Super Bowl Trophy

Everyone is all hearts and Valentine’s Day and I’m over here like footballs and Super Bowl?! While everyone was making their cute Valentine’s this week, I have been up to some Super Bowl crafting. I’ve seen the Super Bowl Trophy DIY floating around Pinterest so I decided to give it a shot. I ended up doing mine a tad differently, here is my process.

Items Needed:

  • Styrofoam Cone
  • Football
  • Metallic Silver Spray Paint
  • Hot Glue Gun

These were actually pretty cheap to make. I found the styrofoam cones at JoAnn Fabrics but they sell them at all the craft stores. I found the 2 different size footballs at the Dollar Tree.

First, using a knife, cut the styrofoam at about a 125 degree angle.

Using your hot glue gun, place a large amount on the styrofoam area you just cut. Immediately place the football on top facing you. You will have to hold the football in place for several minutes to make sure it dries correctly.

After it dries, spray paint with the silver paint and that’s it folks.

DIY Football Turf Banner

I come from a big football family. I’ve known football my whole life and I’ve attended more football games than I can remember. Seriously, I remember life events based on football season…scary, huh?! I love any type of tailgate or football party… casual yet always fun! I am hosting our second annual Super Bowl Party in a few days and wanted to share with you this fun and easy banner I made. This banner would also be cute for a football or soccer themed birthday party. It is made to resemble turf.

I found all my supplies at Hobby Lobby. You will need:

Unroll the green moss mat until flat, with the backside facing up. I used a pendant stencil and drew the pendants on the back with a sharpie. If you alternate them up and down with no space in between you will get more pendants out of the roll.

Using a scissor, cut out the pendants.

After all the pendants have been cut out, use the alphabet stencils to spell out what you want the banner to say. I did “SUPER BOWL LI” and “CONCESSION STAND” for my party. I recommend using painters tape to tape the stencil down so it doesn’t move while you are painting.

Using the white craft paint and foam brush, dab your paint on to the pendant. Let dry for several hours before removing. You can do a second coat if you want the paint to be a brighter white as the fabric will absorb some of the first layer.

After your letters have been painted, use a single hole punch to punch holes in either side of each pendant. String together with the ribbon.
